Tamala is Vanessa and Ivandro, two travelers who began their journey around the world in 2013. Tamala means “Adventurer” in Mandinka, a dialect spoken in several countries in Africa, a name chosen during one of our expeditions.
We share our great passion: travel. And after covering thousands of kilometers around the world as a couple, alone, and in groups, today we have decided to embark on this adventure-filled project.
We have designed various dream activity tours. Trips for everyone, where we will share our way of life, with unique experiences, as our priority is not the destination but how we live during this exceptional journey.
Vanessa was born in Lisbon but has been living in Barcelona for 14 years, where she fulfilled her dream of working in the skies. She is a flight attendant, and airports are her second home. She is passionate about her work as it has allowed her to combine her vocation and her love for traveling and exploring the world. She is creative, restless, and will make sure you lack nothing during your trip.
Since 2019, she has been involved in various development projects in Gambia, Cape Verde, and Guinea-Bissau.
Ivandro was born in Guinea-Bissau, studied in Portugal, and currently resides in Barcelona. He specializes in aerial reporting and video editing. In his journey around the world, he has published several videos showcasing the wonders he has visited with his drone. He is known for his charismatic personality. With him, you can expect great moments and lots of laughter.
Undoubtedly, this Guinean will show you his country in the least touristy, fun, and most responsible way possible.
Tourism has become an industry that can be very damaging. Tamala offers an experience, a close contact with nature and wildlife. Unfortunately, humans cause a lot of harm, which is why we feel compelled to raise awareness about what is happening and how to experience that contact in a responsible way.
