This is not a traditional backpacking trip, you will experience Africa in a profound way. We will take you through Gambia, cross Senegal, visit its most remote villages and experience their way of life, and finally reach Guinea-Bissau, where you will discover its gastronomy and local markets.
Finally, we will sail towards the pearl, the highlight of the journey, the natural paradise of the Bijagós Islands. In this dreamlike setting, we will explore its wonderful and generous nature, with a myriad of extraordinary landscapes, spectacular deserted beaches, palm groves and tropical forests, abundant birdlife, and sublime sunsets, all within an ancient culture and animist villages. We will stay in a majestic hotel on the seashore, a blend of culture, ethnicities, nature, and good gastronomy. You can’t miss it!

We will arrive in the smile of Africa and feel it through the warmth, colors, and scents. We will meet with the tour leader and be transferred to the hotel.

We will have breakfast at the hotel and head towards Kartong (a small and peaceful town where different ethnic groups coexist peacefully).

The most special thing about the place is, on one side, a beautiful Gambian white sandy beach, and on the other side, the lush Senegalese savannah, which we will admire from our boats.
We will finish our tour and enjoy a meal in a very special place.
We will travel towards Bolong Bintang where you can appreciate the tabankas (villages) and way of life along the way.
During this morning, we will enjoy a good meal on the banks of Gambia’s heart, undoubtedly its river.
We will make a stop to visit one of the international cooperation projects in which we are involved. We will undoubtedly experience a morning of contagious laughter as the children welcome us with their big smiles and kindness.
Breakfast and check-out. We will travel by land in a mini bus/van exclusively for the group, enjoying a journey that will surely leave a lasting impression. We will have about 5-6 hours of travel, with stops along the way, and we will take the opportunity to have lunch in Senegal.
Arrival in GUINEA-BISSAU. Check-in at the hotel, free afternoon, and special dinner.
We will check out and sail across the Atlantic Ocean towards the João Vieira e Poilão Marine National Park in search of dolphins.
Finally, we will reach our island, classified by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site.
This is the Eden of AFRICA, a luxury accommodation where you will wake up every day to the relaxing sound of the sea.
We will enjoy a delicious breakfast and then depart in canoes (the most common means of travel in Bubaque) where the Bijagós ethnic group, the majority, coexists with other ethnic groups.
Once on land, we will walk along the small paths that connect the different tabancas (villages) to learn about their culture. Free afternoon and dinner at the hotel.
Breakfast at the open-air buffet overlooking the sea, followed by a thrilling boat ride through mangroves and greetings to artisanal fishermen.
We will arrive at the Orango Parque Hotel (a sustainable hotel built altruistically) and cross the savannah where many surprises and adventures await us.
At sunset, we will return to the hotel and have dinner.
Breakfast at the hotel’s buffet, followed by a boat ride. It will be a relaxing day where we will enjoy walks on a remote island that will surprise you at every moment.

Breakfast at the hotel, check out, and sail to the port of Bissau. Land travel to Banjul.
We will have a free sunset, pool or beach time, relax in a perfect place to disconnect from the world, and enjoy a delicious dinner.
This day is for you, for your relaxation, to enjoy the beach or pool, to run among palm trees and refresh yourself. Take it easy, it’s your moment!
Breakfast at the hotel. We will visit the Katchikally Crocodile Pool Park, the Museum, traditions, and the Bijilo Forest Park.
In the afternoon, we will stroll through the fish market, appreciating a multitude of colors, squawks, smells, and sensations…
Breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Brikama market, where you can buy souvenirs, natural products, etc.
In the afternoon, return to Banjul airport, ending this incredible journey.
We are sure that everyone will leave with more than one friend from this super adventure.
Payment is made in three installments. A 10% deposit to guarantee your spot (refundable up to 30 days before departure in case of cancellation).
A second payment of 60% after establishing the WhatsApp group and video call with the trip coordinators.
The third payment is made by bank transfer up to 60 days before the start of the trip. You can also choose to pay the entire trip in a single payment.
Flights will be purchased once the group departure is confirmed (if it reaches the minimum number of trip participants), and you will be notified via WhatsApp or email.
We will give you complete freedom of choice in case you want to stay a few more days. It’s up to you!
Passport valid for at least 6 months after the trip’s return.
No mandatory vaccinations are required for the countries we will visit.
No visa is required to enter Gambia by air, but upon arrival, you must pay €20 in cash, the same amount applies for leaving the country.
